Bold stone meets white oak

Kitchen renovations can feel overwhelming, with the process often seeming costly and hard to visualize. As one of the home's most used spaces, transforming a kitchen involves countless choices—cabinets, countertops, and more—while keeping it functional and cohesive. It becomes even more challenging when homeowners want to preserve elements like the flooring while updating the rest of the space.

That was the case for a recent client who wanted a modern kitchen with clean lines, natural wood, and bold stone finishes. We solved this by designing custom oak cabinets that balanced warmth and sophistication, along with a sleek plaster hood, and elegant crown molding.

A cohesive countertop and backsplash tied it all together, while a stylish peninsula, organized pantry, and floating shelves maximized beauty and function for the client’s family.

The mood board vs. the finished product 🤌🏼 The first step in any project is making sure I fully understand your vision so I can bring it to life. Before we got started, my client completed a style discovery exercise to help us narrow down and refine her favorite design styles. Using those results, we created a mood board for her bedroom to set the tone for the space. Another one in the books! ✔️ This master bedroom project was too much fun. Given the large dimensions of the room, this client and I explored ways to make the space more defined, rich, and cozy. By adding a faux ceiling beam we draw attention to that gorgeous vaulted ceiling, and the wall molding adds depth while grounding the bed area. We also replaced and raised the curtains, added two rugs, a floating shelf beneath the TV, and elevated the decor & furniture. We went with soft blues & greens for a calm & serene feel, and what a difference!
